Hewlett-Packard Co. has been doing several things to help convert to a GREENER company even though as a TECH company this can present some major challenges.
HP has begun to use recycled plastic to make its ink cartridges, Even though the cartridges are small. There are so many sold each year that this saves tons of plastic from being wasted. There are also talks that they are even starting a recycling program for used cartridges.
HP has recently started a battery recycle program for old laptop batteries. Until this program came about, batteries would simply be disposed of in the trash and are very harmful to the environment.
HP has recently started producing so called GREEN LAPTOPS, with energy efficient screens and internal parts. Such computers supposedly use far less energy thus saving power.
